Round Tables & Round Steak
Round Tables & Round Steak is a bi-monthly program designed to provide Aboriginal cultural workers with an opportunity to learn new skills, connect with industry leaders, and to network with those involved with Aboriginal arts.
The Round Tables & Round Steak workshop series provides affordable professional development training in an effort to promote and preserve Aboriginal arts and culture within the Manitoban arts milieu. Sample topics: grant writing, Aboriginal crafters round table, documentation, photography
Aboriginal Artists Workshops
Aboriginal Artists Workshops (AAW) is an annual week-long training series for Aboriginal artists living in Winnipeg. Learn the skills you need to lead a successful career in the arts, from business development and arts administration to financial management and event planning. Presented in collaboration with SEED (Supporting Employment and Economic Development) Winnipeg.
Aboriginal Cultural Tourism Training (ACTT)
Aboriginal Cultural Tourism Training (ACTT) is a pilot program that has been developed to provide basic business training to Founding Nations, a non-profit community co-op of Aboriginal crafters, artisans, dancers, singers and sculptors. The mandate of Founding Nations is to continue to provide culturally appropriate education and entertainment for visitors and tourists at the Forks.
Through a partnership between ACI Manitoba and the Manitoba Tourism Education Council (MTEC), the ACTT program provides workshops in: essential skills development, arts administration skills, arts-based education, applied arts practices and more.
