We are now accepting applications for the 20-24 Year Old Youth Mentorship Program! Each youth will be matched with a mentor from any discipline, in artistic, administrative or technical categories. This mentorship stream will run from October 2013 to April 2014.
There are three ways to apply for this program. The mentor and the youth may be previously known to each other and apply as a team, with the mentor acting as the youth’s nominator. A mentor may apply without a youth in mind, and we will find an appropriate youth, if possible. Finally, a youth may apply without a specific mentor in mind, and if selected, ACI Manitoba will find an appropriate mentor.
Application deadline: Thursday, June 20, 2013

Winnipeg Soprano Ashley Boychuk has had music whisper to her in many forms since she was very young; developing her musicality through a touring school division choir, pursuing individual piano and voice lessons including entries into the various music festivals within the Manitoba, and finally making the choice to whisper back to music by packing up and moving to Brandon University for an undergraduate degree in voice performance. Prior to this experience, Ashley had been listening to all kinds of music, except opera. In Brandon, however, she ended up falling in love with opera’s grandiose scale, emotion, costumes, and performance energy. She also enjoys the opportunities to collaborate with other musicians either in an opera or a chamber setting, which is still one of her most cherished aspects of making music today.
