May 2009 marks the 5th anniversary of full-time operations for RAS Creative, a dynamic communications company built on a solid foundation of relationships, reputation, and results. RAS Creative is dedicated to providing publicity and promotions, writing and editing, and specialized support to a diverse roster of Canadian, US and international clients from music and motion pictures, sports and entertainment, special events, travel and tourism, and the Aboriginal community.
Company President RoseAnna Schick has personally acquired 15 years experience in arts and entertainment, working on more than 60 film and television productions, contributing to the success of more than 50 special events and creative projects, and advancing the careers of dozens of musicians. She is ‘hands-on’ with everything taken on, overseeing the biggest of pictures while tending to the smallest of details.
RoseAnna’s hard work and dedication was recognized in 2007 with nomination for the Manitoba Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. She received nomination at the 2001 Prairie Music Awards for Outstanding Manager of the Year for her work with Winnipeg rock band Pushing Daisies, and three Best Music Video nominations for producing their debut video Disagree.
A freelance travel writer who specializes in outdoor activity, wilderness adventure, and golf destinations, RoseAnna has toured Australia, Mexico, Philadelphia, Cape Cod, Kentucky and Minnesota, and traveled across Canada and her home province of Manitoba. She currently writes the fitness and health column Fit Nations for Urban NDN, and chronicles her adventures as a ’wannabe’ hockey player in an NHL.com blog. She previously wrote the Winnipeg Free Press golf column Fore Play.
When she isn’t working on her next big thing… RoseAnna can be found training as a competitive Masters rower for the Winnipeg Rowing Club, learning to play ice hockey with her team the Hockey Bags, trying to break 100 on the golf course, or out roaming somewhere in the Canadian wilderness… the more remote the better… www.ras-creative.com
