Manitoba Arts Network - October Featured Member



The Manitoba Arts Network (MAN) is celebrating its 25th anniversary.  MAN represents community arts councils and organizations throughout rural and northern Manitoba by fostering arts and culture.  The organization supports Performing Arts and Visual Arts Programs and hosts an annual showcase conference for community arts organizations which includes presenters and galleries, along with professional development.  This event is hosted by a rotating community or member each year. 

Through the year MAN provides: resources, networking opportunities, professional support, performing arts block-booking, touring of professional curated or juried art exhibitions (accompanied by an educational component), Presenter and Performing Arts Touring Directories, as well as mentorship sessions between members.  MAN also assists with the promotion of special events that support the arts programming of its members in their community, such as sponsoring the ’Best Arts & Culture’ award presented by the Manitoba Community Newspaper Association and organizing the annual Rural & Northern Art Show.

The Manitoba Arts Network plays a unique role in the arts community, centering around networking, providing service to Manitoba communities, and pursuing partnerships with like-minded arts organizations.
