ACI Manitoba posts events, jobs, training opportunities, call for submissions, and volunteer information free of charge for members. If you wish to submit postings we ask for information such as dates, locations, links, and contact information. This information is available to visitors of our website that are interested in your posting. To protect your privacy, we give you the choice of submitting your contact information, or posting anonymously. In either case, your contact information is collected for purposes of authentication and so that ACI Manitoba may contact you in the event that there is an error in your posting.
We post part-time, full-time, and intern job opportunities, call for submissions, volunteer opportunites, upcoming events, and training opportunites within the arts and culture community in Manitoba. Postings are included in our weekly Mu-zine newsletter distributed to our members and network free of charge.Contact information submitted will be published along with the posting. ACI Manitoba reserves the right to check and approve all postings submitted.

Volunteer Opportunities at Graffiti Gallery

Can you spare some time to help out in one of many areas within the Graffiti Gallery:
Graffiti Art Programming Inc. (better known as G.A.P., Graffiti Gallery and the gallery) is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, at the corner of Higgins Avenue and Gomez Street. Graffiti Art Programming Inc. is a not-for-profit community youth art center, using art as a tool for community, social, economic and individual growth. It is the only one of its kind in North America for artists of all ages and genres from traditional art, to urban art (including hip hop art, graffiti art, street art), to Aboriginal art, to contemporary art, to performance art.

General volunteering opportunities
Volunteer opportunities at MAWA include:
* helping with a MAWA event, such as a First Friday or artist’s lectures. Volunteers do everything from meeting visiting artists at the airport to tending the bar. In the process, they meet artists from across the country.
* helping in the office. Volunteers assist with filing and computer work, while picking up valuable skills.
* helping with the newsletter mailout. Volunteers stuff envelopes and spend an afternoon networking with other MAWA volunteers.

Fundraising Committee
MAWA’s Fundraising Committee puts the fun in fundraising! We’re the women behind festive fundraisers including our annual Art Auction. With us, you can learn to make piñatas, build midway games, or plan a giant party. You can join the committee or simply help with special projects. If you want to be part of the fun, contact the MAWA office.
Outreach Committee
Our goal is to increase MAWA’s membership and community support through strategic projects. If you have great ideas for outreach projects, especially in the student, rural, French and Aboriginal communities, join us. Contact Tracy at the MAWA office.
Board Recruitment and Development Committee
This committee ensures that our volunteer board has the right mix of skills, experience and interests to support MAWA’s success. It is always on the hunt for new board members, and it seeks out learning opportunities for current members. Policy Review Committee
The Policy Review Committee monitors MAWA’s by-laws and policies to ensure they are clear and effective. We may be called upon to formulate new policy for presentation to the board. If you are someone who enjoys thinking in 3D, looking at all the angles, has Board Governance experience, and would like to contribute to MAWA’s stability and longevity, consider joining us! Contact the MAWA office.
Programming Committee
This Committee generally meets four times annually to review programming in the upcoming year. The Committee considers new programs and brainstorms how to make existing programs even better. Recommendations made by the Committee are brought to the MAWA Board of Directors for approval. This is an ad hoc committee made up of board and MAWA members. MAWA members wishing to participate in a Programming Committee meeting are invited to contact the office.
