Voice students currently working on repertoire at a level equivalent to Grade 8 or 9 (Junior Level), or Grade 10 or Diploma Level (Senior Level) with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto are eligible to apply for the Orville J. Derraugh Recital Scholarship.

Mr. Derraugh believed that singers should have more occasion to perform before an appreciative audience and that the general public should have the opportunity and pleasure of hearing talented young musicians sing.

Singers selected to receive this scholarship will be given the opportunity to perform selected repertoire in a recital to be held on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Westminster United Church. The scholarship includes the accompanist fee ($85.00), a promotional head photograph, a professional recording of the performance, and a post recital reception. All singers who audition for the scholarship will receive a written adjudication of their audition.

Auditions will be held on Monday, April 2nd, 2012 and may be videotaped for promotional purposes. Please refer to the audition form for further details. The application deadline is Monday, March 19th, 2012.
