Communications Officer

Marketing Communications Office - University of Manitoba

The Marketing Communications Office at the University of Manitoba works to promote and enhance the image and reputation of the university by developing external marketing strategies to share the great stories of our faculty, staff and students.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Communications Officer to join the team within the Marketing Communications Office to provide communications and marketing support to the newly-established National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR). This person would provide leadership in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all marketing communications efforts associated with NCTR.

The ideal candidate would have an undergraduate degree in communications or marketing as well as four years of directly related communications and client-management experience. Experience working with Indigenous peoples, Elders and communities is essential. Experience working with Residential School Survivors is an asset. Indigenous candidates are encouraged to apply.
