The Locations Department Assistant position is an exciting, entry-level opportunity in Manitoba’s growing film industry. The ideal candidate will be a focused multi-tasker with excellent oral and written communication proficiency, people skills, flexibility and work ethic. The position is ideal for a candidate who wants to dive head-first into this innovative and creative sector.
One of MFM’s objectives is to market Manitoba as a filming location and promote co-ventures with Manitoba producers to international media companies. As the Locations Department Assistant, you will play a role in this by providing strong administrative support to the locations operations. Through creative presentation you will also help producers visualize their films in Manitoba and help the team attract projects to Manitoba.
Computer skills (including Word, Excel and some Photoshop) along with the ability to work independently are required. A driver’s license is essential. Previous experience in the film industry and knowledge of Manitoba geography is an asset.
