Concert Coordinator (Part Time)

Virtuosi Concerts Inc.

Virtuosi Concerts, MB Inc., University of Winnipeg’s International Recital and Chamber Music Concert series, requires a part-time Concert Administrator.

This support position to the General Manager is ideal for an individual with good administrative and organizational skills, initiative, and pride in delivering superior customer service looking to become a vital part of a small but busy downtown office.

The incumbent will be the main point of contact to the public for ticket information and sales. Knowledge of classical music would be beneficial but not necessary. Excellent communication skills are a must. Proficiency in all MS Office applications including Word, Access and Excel is required.

Demonstrated experience with applications such as Mail Chimp, updating websites in WordPress, social media and e-marketing highly preferred. Experience in marketing and event planning would also be considered a valuable asset. The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in setting priorities and meeting varied deadlines.

Music is our product! Therefore, being part of the buzz and excitement of concert night is a must. Up to 9 Saturdays from 6 pm to 11 pm will be required. The incumbent will manage the box office and assist with a variety of pre and post-concert tasks which can include food handling, lifting and pushing of carts. The number of hours required to meet seasonal deadlines can fluctuate slightly from month to month. Daytime hours can be modified within reasonable limits, making it particularly well-suited to candidates with other commitments.
