The ACI Youth Mentorship Program in the Arts is about to begin its fifth season. We are again seeking youth who are interested in exploring careers in the arts and cultural sector. Youth can choose to be mentored in any discipline, in artistic, administrative or technical categories.

 Made possible with the support of the provincial government, through MB4Youth, this program is open to youth 20 – 24 years old. It matches professionals in various artistic disciplines with youth who would benefit from:

• Personal tutelage from a mentor
• Networking opportunities within the industry
• Volunteer work experience in their chosen artistic area
• Developing essential skills and knowledge of the arts and cultural sector

This program will run from October 2011 to April 2012.

There are three ways to apply for this program. The mentor and the youth may be previously known to each other and apply as a team, with the mentor acting as the youth’s nominator. A mentor may apply without a youth in mind, and we will find an appropriate youth, if possible. Finally, a youth may apply without a specific mentor in mind, and if selected, ACI Manitoba will find an appropriate mentor.



There will be a total of 14 mentor/youth pairs chosen for this year. Successful participants will be notified the last week of September. All mentors and youth selected for the mentorship program who are not already ACI Manitoba members will be required to join. Rates are $15.00 for youth and $25.00 for adults.
