ACI Manitoba will be offering the Rural Mentorship program again, starting in January 2012, with an application deadline of November 1, 2011. The majority of last year's details will remain the same. ACI Manitoba is offering an arts & cultural mentorship program for youth 16-24 living outside Winnipeg but within Manitoba. The program provides working artists and youth an opportunity to come together, providing a valuable experience for youth wanting to explore the possibility of a career in the arts and cultural industries.

The 2012 Rural Youth Mentorship Program will run from January 4 - May 31, 2012.

We are currently seeking mentors in rural locations who can assist with finding two youth participants and are able to commit 10 hours of contact time per month with two participants. Mentors will be paid an honorarium.

The deadline for mentors is Tuesday, November 1, 2011.

In each area where a mentor/youth team is accepted, a local facilitator will also be identified through the local arts council or school. They will conduct one visit with the participants at the beginning of the program to go through the Learning Contract and program expectations.
